Storm Bowling Products has just announced the release of three new bowling balls. The Storm VIVID Bowling Ball, the Storm Modern Marvel Bowling Ball and the Storm Crossroad Bowling Ball.
The intent of the new Vivid is to create a motion which expands the current Premier line, giving you a clear picture of the lane condition while utilizing Storm’s most technologically-advanced cores and coverstocks. This new Vivid will be a perfect fit between the original Virtual Gravity Nano solid and pearl versions, combining midlane traction and backend hook.
The R2X hybrid reactive coverstock handles heavy oil like a champ while the fast-revving Centripetal core works with nearly every layout imaginable. Prepped with a 4000-grit Abralon finish, the Modern Marvel provides optimum traction throughout the entire lane. The Master line features new technology with strong, dynamic core shapes that are sure to help all bowlers looking to ‘master’ the sport of bowling.
The intent of the new Crossroad is to identify the best components of these two champions and combine them, creating a new superpower in the bowling world. The number one factor of ball motion is coverstock. So, when we are looking to expand upon the Victory Road with the proven components of the Hy-Road, we first started with the R2S hybrid reactive shell that seemed to match up on every lane condition imaginable.
Finished to 1500-grit as well, the new Crossroad is sure to skid through even the most hooking heads around. But if your speed is higher and the heads are slick, you can still adjust the surface texture easily as R2S is one of the most versatile coverstocks on the market.

For 10 and 11 pound bowling balls, Hammer uses a symmetric core shape once featured
in the Nitro R Squared ball. This core allows us to create great performance for the

The Addaptive ƒ(P) Pearl coverstock is Brunswick’s newest innovation in performance enhancing additive chemistry. ƒ(P) describes our latest ƒormula that combines our new (P)rojection additive with an aggressive reactive coverstock to skid easily down the lane, saving axis rotation for the backend that results in higher entry angles into the pocket and improved ball motion through the pins. Being able to utilize performance enhancing additives in a coverstock allows Brunswick to effectively fine tune the length, mid-lane and backend characteristics of the ball motion.
The new Nexus Arrowhead core features a single density squared-off elliptical inner core that is dynamically designed to stay on line, enhancing downlane projection. This long and sleek core helps the Nexus ƒ(P) preserve revs and ball speed into the backend of the lane which results in increased pin action and higher scores.
With its Rough Buff Finish, the Nexus ƒ(P) projects easily through the front, storing axis rotation and revolutions in the mid-lane while gripping the backend for a strong continuous motion that slices through the pins with ease on medium oil lane conditions.
The Nexus ƒ(P) can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls.
The unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.
